I called the doctor's office on Wednesday, trying to see if I could schedule the surgery. The appointment lady was nice, but she said that only Dr. M or his assistant could schedule it and they were gone for the day. She gave me his assistant's direct line and said to call back on Friday, where they would be in all day. I did call back, on Friday, and got the assistant's voicemail...I left a message (taking the very sweet approach in my tone) and asked if I could make the appointment for the surgery. She did not call back! It's now Sunday, and perhaps they were not in the office for the weekend. She better call tomorrow, on Monday! I'm going bananas!!!! This is ridiculus! I was diagnosed with a fibroid on November 7! It is now almost 1 month since, and I STILL DO NOT HAVE A SURGERY DATE! Oh, I need to change medical health care plans......
Ok, that's all for now....the frustration is overwhelming. Thankfully, I've been on a mini-vacation these past several days, it's helped keep my mind off of TTC and that fact that I cant. Unfortunately, I've still been spotting since AF, and it's been a couple weeks already!
That is supper frustrating, I hate working with doctors sometimes. I hope this gets worked out soon and you have a surgery date.
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness, and don't shoot me...I work for a hospital based clinic and was off on Friday. So perhaps the assistant was as well and the scheduler didn't know this.
ReplyDeleteI would say if you do not have a call by lunch tomorrow to call and continue to call HOURLY. If that fails call the regular line and ask to speak to a nurse. If that fails ask for an office manager.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to know how you were doing. I'm so sorry this seems to be taking forever. I'm sure they are just not taking into account how badly you want to TTC.
