I'm pregnant!

Woke up this AM (16DPO) at 4am to pee and decided to take another test.

Guess there's no doubt, I'm pregnant! I really owe thanks and praise to the Lord.

"in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us." Romans 8:37.

So, I made my doctor's appointment. I specifically asked if we could just skip that first appointment, and get to business. You know skip all fluff where you simply take another pee test, give some blood and sign some papers. I've been there, done that, twice... I'd rather get down to business and actually see if there's a real live baby in my tummy. My doc's assistant was awesome, she said, I'll still have to do all the paperwork, pee test and blood work again, but she scheduled it so that I would do all the fluff, see my doctor AND do an early ultrasound, all in one visit. =) She did caution that they didn't want to do the ultrasound too early, because we may not see anything yet. So we scheduled the appointment on Tuesday, April 14. Just over three weeks from now. I'll be a little past 7 weeks by then. Perfect!

So I guess now the countdown begins to that first appointment. I'll place a ticker on my side bar to commemorate the passing days. Ugh...I cant help but think about that horrible last ultra sound appointment, where we found out that the baby had no heartbeat and had stopped growing. However, I'm going to follow the wonderful principle I received today in my daily devotional. I must believe I am pregnant and believe I will become a mom in December (Dec. 2 to be exact), instead of just hoping and wishing that someday I will.

I must continue my motto: I believe I receive.

Now, I saw this really cool picture thing that someone had on their blog....rotating through the different pictures showing the belly growth progress. I think I'll start that up. So, here's my first picture at 4weeks 2days. Cant wait to see it grow!!!

(dont mind how dirty my mirror is, I cleaned it up as soon as I saw the picture.)

  3. Woo-hoo!! Congratulations again!! I can't wait to hear the news from your u/s - doesn't seem like TTC is just one long waiting game?

I wanted to tell you when I got my positive pee stick, it was very, very faint. I guessed I was around 15DPO (I wasn't sure of my O date) so I POAS again the next morning and it was still pretty faint. I went ahead and called the doc and my beta was 126! I was using an early detection brand so it was supposed to show anything greater than 25. I don't know why mine were never darker.

Anyway, I don't want you to worry about your line being lighter than someone else's. It doesn't mean a thing!

Congrats again . . . I am so happy for you.
